St. John’s DOK Primary Day school is a primary and pre-primary school that has over 900 students. It currently has small water tanks that they fill with water that the students bring. They charge a “tax” to the parents for the water guard to purify the water; however, they only are able to purify the water about 2 months at a time, leaving about 4-5 months where there is untreated water. Since they began treating with water guard about 3 years ago, they have seen significant improvement in the complaints of stomach problems from the students. Sweetwater Outreach was able to provide a 5,000L tank for this school in 2022. The students no longer complain of having to carry their books and jugs of water long distances to school, and are very grateful and happy for their tank!
